Kitchen:<\/strong><br \/>\n&#8211; <em>Counter tops<\/em>: Remove clutter from kitchen counter tops to show an expanse of counter space.\u00a0 Rule of thumb suggests that you should not have more than 3 items on your counter.<br \/>\n&#8211; <em>Under the sink<\/em>: Remove as many items as possible from under the sink.\u00a0 Place any remaining items in bins or baskets to keep them orderly.<br \/>\n&#8211; <em>Cabinets<\/em>:\u00a0 Pack away anything that you have not used in the past year.\u00a0 Remember all those items you purchased at that Pampered Chef party?\u00a0 Don\u2019t forget the fondue set and bread maker you received as a wedding gift.\u00a0 They can all go into storage while your house is on the market.<br \/>\n&#8211; <em>Pantry<\/em>:\u00a0 Throw away all spices that are over a year old.\u00a0 Box up any dry goods that can go to the Food Bank.<br \/>\n&#8211; <em>Refrigerator\/freezer<\/em>:\u00a0 You may not plan to include your appliances in the sale of your house, but they can be used as a negotiating tactic\u2026if they are in good shape.\u00a0 Use this opportunity to give the refrigerator and freezer a full clean.\u00a0 Dispose of all those old condiments and orderly replace remaining items.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2. Bathrooms:<\/strong><br \/>\n&#8211; <em>Counter tops<\/em>:\u00a0 Limit yourself to only hand soap plus one additional item on the counter.\u00a0 No one wants to see your toothbrush when touring your house!<br \/>\n&#8211; <em>Under the sink<\/em>:\u00a0 Dispose of any unnecessary items and place those remaining in bins.<br \/>\n&#8211; <em>Medicine cabinet<\/em>:\u00a0 Potential buyers will look in your medicine cabinet.\u00a0 Hide anything you do not want public and place as many items as possible in the bins under the sink.\u00a0 You will want to lock prescription medicine away.<br \/>\n&#8211; <em>Linen closet<\/em>: Remove any unnecessary items and store away.\u00a0 Neatly fold all linens and stack by color.<\/p>\n<p><strong>3. Laundry Room:<\/strong> Make sure all products are neat and orderly.\u00a0 You want to give the impression that it is easy (and fun) to do laundry in this space.<\/p>\n<p><strong>4. Clothes Closets:<\/strong> Pack and store off-season clothes and shoes.\u00a0 Separate clothes types (eg. shirts, pants, long) and hang together by color.\u00a0 Remove any extra hangers.<\/p>\n<p><strong>5. Office:<\/strong>\u00a0 File away all paper and corral computer cords.\u00a0 Desks should be clear of all clutter with only a few items showcased on top.<\/p>\n<p><strong>6.
